The Olive House has many varieties of delicious wines and olive oils.
It should come as no surprise that the Danish village of Solvang, California would also be a host to many award-winning tasting rooms! From Italian varietals to the Rhone Valley to the French Bordeaux, from tasting rooms to wine bars to wineries, Solvang is the perfect location to sample California’s Santa Barbara County wines that are putting its mark on the wine map.
Solvang’s Third Wednesday Wine and Beer Walk, generously sponsored by the Chumash Casino Resort, has tickets that cost just $20 each (cash only please), and include a ticket to sample two wines at five participating wine-or-beer tasting rooms, a specialty logo glass, and a map to help you navigate your way through all the fun! No one under 21 is permitted to purchase tickets. The Wine and Beer Walk is every Third Wednesday, from 3 pm – 7 pm. You can purchase tickets at the Olive House, 1661 Mission Drive, the Wandering Dog Wine Bar, 1539 C Mission Drive, and Sort This Out Cellars, 1636 Copenhagen Drive.

The Carivintas wine tasting room is dog-friendly and taste-bud-friendly!
The streets of Solvang are peppered with wine tasting rooms that all have a special “something” to add to the atmosphere of the village. From Sort This Out Cellar’s rockabilly theme to Toccata’s Italian ambience, the Solvang Wine Walk hosted on Third Wednesday allows you to do more than just wine tasting — it’s a whole experience! Park your car, stroll through the town and you will find Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewurtztraminer, Grenache, Local Sparklings, Malvasia Bianca, Marsanne, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Petite Verdot, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Port, Rose, Rousanne, Sangiovese, Semillon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Unique Blends, Viognier & even Champagne, Moscato, and dessert wines.

Solvang Third Wednesday Adds Beer to the Wine Walk!
You didn’t think that Solvang stopped at æbleskiver and wine, did you? Oh no! Now the Solvang Wine Walk also includes beer tasting!
Randy’s Tap Room located at C & R Imports, The Good Life, and the Solvang Brewing Company have added their beers and lagers to compete with the popular Pinot and Chardonnay wines of the Santa Ynez Valley. In fact, the Good Life specializes in yummy craft beers, both local and otherwise! Randy’s Tap Room is open all day, Solvang Brewing Company opens at 4 pm while the Good Life opens at noon,
and each of the rooms are available for Third Wednesday’s wine (and beer) walk until 7 pm. The Wandering Dog Wine Bar also has a great selection of brews, beers, and lagers available for tasting as well – not to mention having a huge range of different wines and different tasting flights for both beer and wine – bringing Solvang’s “Beer Walk” count to four!
